A little about me

A graphic designer and hands-on design leader with 13+ years’ experience across brand and marketing design. I help growing businesses communicate clearly through simple, bold ideas that balance craft, strategy, and commercial impact.

I’ve spent most of my career in startups and scale-ups, where I’ve balanced hands-on creative delivery with leadership and team growth. At early-stage companies like Aira and Monzo, I was producing creative at speed while shaping creative strategy, workflows, and efficient processes. At Wise, a more established scale-up, my focus shifted more heavily towards people leadership — growing the team from 3 to 8 designers in six months, developing individuals, directing high-quality creative, and partnering closely with stakeholders to improve creative impact across the business. I also led the creative marketing side of a full rebrand, ensuring a smooth, timely rollout.

Having started my career in branding agencies and grown within in-house marketing teams, I have a strong understanding of the full marketing funnel. Brand and performance work should complement each other — one without the other will only ever take growth so far.

I’m a big advocate for supportive, inclusive creative environments that value people’s wellbeing and development alongside business goals. Great work comes from teams who feel trusted, challenged, and cared for.

PS. I write a blog about “Goose Leadership” (yes, really). If you’re curious — or enjoy questionable humour mixed with thoughts on leadership — you can find it at medium.com/@jacquibrowne90.
